Prior to that, he played key roles in generating substantial new revenue for a variety of media and marketing companies facing challenging transitionary pressures including Playboy, Hearst and The New York Times Company.  He was also the team lead in his own branding startup that spearheaded high-profile deals pairing star celebrities to global brands – including Michael Jackson and Pepsi

Currently Mark is cultivating a portfolio of promising disruptors in the realm of digital and experiential transformation including advanced microprocessor technology; generative A.I.; plant-derived, bio-active nutrition; and renewable & regenerative energy.

He also is active on boards of several charities and foundations dedicated to saving children in dire conditions in danger zones around the world and here at home with a focus on housing and nutritional insecurity.  In addition, he coaches MBA candidates at UC Irvine in developing strategies to launch their own startups.

He unwinds through mostly active, outdoor pursuits – hiking, climbing, biking, attempts at surfing –  taking full advantage of the bounty and beauty of his Southern California surroundings, still a source of fascination for this New Jersey transplant.

Mark has a BA from Cornell University and a Certificate in Advanced Data Analytics and Generative AI from Berkeley Haas.
